Quick Dry Organic Cotton Hemp Fleece Fitteds

I had a special request for a quick dry all organic cotton hemp fleece fitted so I thought I’d make one in a few sizes as a custom order basis for the store. The diaper itself is two absorbent layers of the hemp fleece. The insert is 2 layers with serged edges attached only at the front of the diaper with a stitch across the top. This makes for a pretty quick dry but makes it so that you’re not having to search for your insert on laundry day!

Some people do this type of diaper with a set of corresponding snaps between diaper and insert but I personally do not like that and it will not be an option with these diapers. I don’t like it because the stitch across the top does the same thing and if you’re not going to unsnap it to launder why bother having snaps and if you’re going to unsnap it to launder, well, why bother doing that? Again, just a personal opinion.

For medium and large sizes I will be offering the choice of 1 or 2 inserts. The second photo is a medium with 2 inserts making a 6 layer total diaper and should be extremely absorbent!!!

These have hook and loop closures but I may offer snaps as well. I haven’t decided. But these may be available in the store within the next few weeks.

OSFM (One Size Fits Most) fitted diaper tutorial: how to fold

*UPDATE: This blog has been updated with photos of the new style diaper that has elastic in the back pocket opening. My son, who is modeling a diaper, is also a few months older but weighs the same.

This is a One Size Fits Most fitted pocket diaper. The wings are long enough to over lap for most fits so only one pin is required until about 30 lbs.. This should fit from about 9 lbs. to about 45/50 lbs. depending on build. As you can see, Drew can use them with just one pin! He’s wearing a organic cotton bamboo velour which has a bit more stretch than a woven flannel.

This is a great way to get the adjustable fit of a fitted diaper with elastic in through the legs to keep the messes in without having to buy every different size of the fitteds. What a money saver!

It’s also a pocket diaper so you can adjust absorbency as baby grows and needs more or for day and night/naps/outings! Look for them in the store.

My 2 1/2 year old 26 lb. son in an organic cotton bamboo velour OSFM (One Size Fits Most) fitted pocket with 9 layers of cotton bamboo french terry as an insert.

I did not fold the rise down in these next 2 photos. The rise is a bit too long (high) for my liking. But look, it can be used with just one pin easily and comfortably for him. It’s trim fitting too!

I folded down the rise by about 2 inches in this photo, he likes this fit better.

The bamboo pocket fitted!

So, I’ve been reading here and there about what people wanted. And I have read more than a few times that people were in desperate search of a bamboo pocket fitted. I, quite honestly, think it’s a little bizarre really. I can understand the point behind it of course and that’s that it is fast drying but as absorbent as you need it to be and there’s bamboo up against baby.

So, here is the bamboo side snapping pocket fitted diaper. This one is up in the store and available this coming Thursday, my birthday! To add some fun into the mix I am offering free shipping on all U.S. residents on $50 or more for that day!

This diaper comes with a contoured insert (not shown) that is 4 layers. Normally I make a bi-fold insert but this time did two two layered contoured and serged them all the way around. Then attached each insert only at the top and bottom, which should be a pretty quick dry!

You could also use the insert as a lay in and still have the soft bamboo against baby.
